A Visit to Roger's Garden

While away in southern California last week the Mrs. and I got an opportunity to spend an afternoon at Roger's Gardens, which was only about 8 miles from where we were staying. I had seen some images from the Roger's Garden Night Gallery Halloween Boutique on the PumpkinRot blog last month and about fell off the chair when I realized how close it was to where we were would be located.

Neither of us have visited any stores this season to check out any Halloween merch. It was almost sensory overload! Some of the stuff was old-school amazing, some was a bit corny, some a bit hoity, but all together it was pretty cool. We lost several hours gawking at the various rooms filled with Halloween goodness and walking around the sun-soaked outside grounds filled with combinations of pumpkins and succulents...

The perfect kick-off to the season wrapped up at the Orange Inn in Laguna Beach with a cup of pumpkin black bean curry soup...

There were actually a few masks in a vintage clothing store a few doors down the street...
